Windows 7 Ends Soon
|
If your computer is running Windows 7, be aware that January 14th is the last day Microsoft will support this product – meaning End Of Life (EOL). Windows 7 is simply outdated and insecure. Vendor support for Windows 7 will follow suite. Plan to either upgrade to Windows 10 or replace the system with a new Windows 10 computer. If replacing the system, consider one of our custom built computers.

Transactions fees associated for ACH Bank Transfers is $1 and Credit Cards is 3.6% per transaction. Payments through these methods will be available within received invoices. Transactions are handled through Intuit/QuickBooks - safe and secure.

Web, Deep Web and Dark Web
The internet is a web of computers linked together forming what looks like a web. For most of us we use it everyday for news, shopping, watching videos, socializing, gaming, email and much more.This portion of the internet (we'll call this the Web), is about 4.5 billion pages is size - rich in personal data. Everything here is public - searchable and trackable.

The Deep Web is much larger than what most of us know as the Web - an estimated 500x larger! This is the place to go for anonymity, as its disconnected from the Web. Accessing these sites requires special passwords, encryption or special software - but its getting easier for the everyday person to access it. This place is typically used for legitimate purposes requiring anonymity - like journalists and whistleblowers.

The Dark Web is a dark section of the Deep Web. Here hackers, sellers and buyers of illegal merchandise lurk, hidden in the shadows. This is where hackers stockpile personal data to be sold. The Dark Web may never go away, but the good news is its loosing traction to what it used to be.

Recent Statistics Released
Per 2019 Q3 Fraud and Abuse Report by Arkose Labs:

- More than half (53%) of the logins of social media are fraudulent and 25% of all new account applications on social media are fraud
- 1 in 10 transactions are attacks of the 1.2 billion transactions that span, account registrations logins and payments, e-commerce, travel, social media, gaming, and entertainment.
- Philippines is now the lead top attack originator over U.S. Russia, UK and Indonesia
- Social media fraud skyrockets - 75% of attacks are automated bots driven to harvesting rich personal data from accounts of legitimate users.
- Financial services fraud varies by season and time of day. Attacks focus on taking over a legitimate user's account to transfer funds or sign up for fraudulent purchases.
